Superintendent – Denver

Job Description: Project Superintendent – Denver, CO

FLSA: Salaried-Exempt

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes

Reports to: VP of Operations

Join a GC firm in business over 65 years, with 8 regional offices to handle our Denver based operations. As the project Superintendent, you will oversee the project from start-to-finish. Your role on our team requires working closely with our carpenter teams, running subcontractors, administering Quality Control, and implementing all scope/design documents elements. Do you also have any hands-on experience with field work? If so, that will help as architecturals are not often available.

Meeting schedules and being flexible is what our customers in the elevator industry love most about our people. As the GC, our work involves all elements of construction code compliance that go into completing the installation and upgrade of an elevator–everything but the elevator, to be exact. We have over 25 years in this industry alone–no one can match the thousands of successful projects we have completed. You know you will need to conduct jobsite meetings, prep equipment and material on a weekly basis and administer the jobsite safety program toward an achievable goal of zero incidents. Just part of the job are Project reporting updates, kick-offs, change order pricing and preparing internal documentation. Taking photos and detailed job updates on your tablet is a cornerstone to success, as is being the professional we expect on a daily basis. We are ethical and expect the same of everyone on staff. We value a happy, productive workplace for everyone, and training for the position is part of guaranteeing that continues. We want you to be able to work independently, as well as with our sales team when project surveys are needed, so managing your time well is a critical skill set for this position.

Do you have at least 5 years superintendent experience managing multiple Tenant Interior finish jobs in office buildings, multi-family settings, public sector offices, hospitals, hotels, etc.? A combination of primarily self-directed commercial supervisory experience with some residential exposure is also going to help, as you need to know materials and installation methods for standard finishes (framing, drywall, paint,) electrical upgrades (disconnects, lighting, switches), fire alarm (devices and programming,) sprinklers, A/C units, sump pumps, and the occasional sheet metal or steel work, the latter always covered by detailed drawings.
